Terms of Service

Last updated: May 20, 2026

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of StoreSide ("StoreSide", "we", "us"), a customer-support helpdesk for Shopify merchants. By installing or using StoreSide, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the service.

1. The service

StoreSide is a software-as-a-service application that connects to your Shopify store and gives you a unified inbox for customer support across email and Instagram, with order context and AI-assisted reply drafting. We may add, change, or remove features over time as the service evolves.

2. Eligibility and accounts

To use StoreSide you must operate a Shopify store and be at least 18 years old, or the age of majority in your jurisdiction.

You access StoreSide through an account managed by our authentication provider. You are responsible for keeping your login credentials secure and for all activity that occurs under your account. You must provide accurate information and keep it up to date.

3. Plans, billing, and cancellation

StoreSide offers a free plan and paid subscription plans. Plan limits, including the number of support tickets per month, are described in the app and on our pricing page.

Paid plans are billed in advance through our payment processor on a monthly or annual basis. By subscribing, you authorize us to charge the applicable fees to your payment method.

If you reach your monthly ticket limit, new tickets may be paused until your usage resets or you upgrade your plan. We will notify you before this happens.

You can cancel or change your plan at any time from your settings. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period. Fees already paid are non-refundable except where required by law. We may change our prices with reasonable advance notice; continued use after a price change means you accept the new price.

4. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

  • Use StoreSide for any unlawful purpose or in violation of any applicable law.
  • Send spam, harassing, or deceptive messages to your customers through the service.
  • Attempt to gain unauthorized access to the service, other users' accounts, or our systems.
  • Reverse engineer, resell, sublicense, or copy the service except as permitted by law.
  • Use the service in a way that disrupts, overloads, or impairs our infrastructure.

5. Your data and your responsibilities

Through StoreSide you process personal data belonging to your own customers — including names, email addresses, order details, and message content. As between you and StoreSide, you are the controller of that data and StoreSide acts as your processor.

You are responsible for having a lawful basis to collect and process your customers' data and for complying with applicable privacy and consumer-protection laws. Our handling of personal data is described in our Privacy Policy.

6. AI-assisted features

StoreSide uses third-party AI models to classify tickets and draft suggested replies. AI output may be inaccurate, incomplete, or unsuitable for a given situation. You are responsible for reviewing AI-generated content before it is sent, and for any replies sent automatically under settings you have enabled.

StoreSide is not responsible for the content of messages you send to your customers.

7. Third-party services

StoreSide integrates with third-party services, including Shopify, payment processors, and email and messaging providers. Your use of those services is governed by their own terms. We do not control and are not responsible for third-party services or their availability.

8. Intellectual property

StoreSide, including its software, design, and content, is owned by us and protected by intellectual-property laws. We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use the service while these Terms are in effect. You retain all rights to your own data and content.

9. Service availability and disclaimers

We work to keep StoreSide available and reliable but do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation. To the fullest extent permitted by law, the service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied.

10. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, StoreSide will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages, or for lost profits, revenue, data, or goodwill. Our total liability for any claim relating to the service will not exceed the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim arose.

11. Termination

You may stop using StoreSide and cancel your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate your access if you breach these Terms, or where necessary to protect the service or other users. On termination, your right to use the service ends; provisions that by their nature should survive — such as intellectual property, disclaimers, and limitation of liability — will survive.

12. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we will notify you through the app or by email. Continued use of StoreSide after the changes take effect means you accept the updated Terms.

13. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of Italy, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules. The courts of Italy will have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute arising from these Terms or the service, except where mandatory local law provides otherwise.

14. Contact
